Retired Truck Driver - J & J Midsouth AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. William Jesse Chapman, 70 of Bell Dr., husband of Mrs. Margaret C. Chapman, entered into rest on Saturday, September 11, 2004 at University Hospital. Funeral Services will be held at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road Chapel on Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at 2 p.m. with Reverend Marion Jay officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Additional survivors include four daughters, Amy Chapman and Cindy Martin, Augusta, Ga., Debbie Percival, Beech Island, S.C. and Catherine Bargeron, Hephzibah, Ga.; five sons, Mike Chapman, Parksville, S.C., Chris Chapman, Timothy Chapman, Billy Chapman and Teddy Sprouse, all of Augusta, Ga.; one brother, Louis Eby, Ft. Washington, Md.; twenty-four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A native of Tampa, Fla., Mr. Chapman has made Augusta his home for fifty years, was a retired truck driver for J & J Midsouth and was a veteran of the Kor ean War having served in the United Stated Air Force. Pallbearers for the funeral will be Charles Martin, Mike Bargeron, Kevin Blackstone, Jeff Tappley, Sam Franklin and Teddy Sprouse.
