      I see Isabella and John's headstones right next to each other. I don't believe they ever married but it seems after Isabellas sister Sarah passed that she and John may have been partners.

      Opportunities for youthful education at that time in Kentucky were extremely rare. She taught herself, and became in a pre-eminent degree a very accomplished woman, acquiring a knowledge of Greek, Astronomy, Natural History, Ethics; read Blackstone's Commentaries, Locke, Bacon, and many other works. She was a fine musician, an extremely pious woman, beloved by all who knew her. She died at Potosi, Missouri, February 2, 1856, aged seventy-four years.
