Marian E. Reid, 71, who died at the Metzmeier Nursing Home, was born in Taylor County, February 2, 1896, the daughter of Richard F. Hord and Lois H. Harding. Death came to Mrs. Reid December 24th, and funeral services were held in the Lyon Funeral Home, Monday, with Dr. J. L. Robinson officiating. She was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church and burial was in Brookside Cemetery. Survivors included: one daughter, Mrs. Erlene Burke, Chicago, Illinois; three sisters, Mrs. Bradley Tarter, Mrs. George Faulkner, and Mrs. Lena Tucker all of Campbellsville; two brothers, Frank Hord of Omaha, Nebraska and Sam Hord of Somerset. She was the widow of Sam E. Reid who was a native of Adair County, who she married in 1914. Pallbearers were Dwight Sandidge, Jimmy Cox, Boogie Faulkner, Willard Smith, Buel Tucker, and Richard E. Hord.
