1870 Census Dodgeville, Iowa, Wisconsin married to Ellen
1880 Census Dodgeville, Iowa, Wisconsin
- Daniel, in the 1860 census, was married to Mary and had Honora and Ellen. Then in the 1870 census he is married to Ellen. Since Mary must have died prior to 1870 and the only children I saw in the 1860 census were Honora and Ellen, I have no idea if the remaining children, Mary, Daniel, Sarah, Josephine and Martha are from the marriage of Mary or Ellen. I suspect that Ellen may have been married prior to Daniel and the child Mary may have been from that marriage, since Mary's age is 1857 and she wasn't in the census with Daniel and his first wife Mary in the 1860. All of this is speculation. If anyone has any proof information that may help, please contact me.
