  Martha Daniel, daugher of Peter Daniel (born about 1788, died 14 October 1864) and Martha Elizabeth Parker (born 1800 died 1855) was born circa 1826 in St. Anderew's Parish of Brunswick County, Virginia. Martha married Pvt. Samuel Harrison Gunn, a Confederate soldier, (born June 1831, died 1904) on 29 November 1848 in Brunswick County, Virginia. Martha died in November 1854. Note: There is no tombstone to mark Martha Daniel's grave.
