  • Notes
    • Note: EBY, Margaret Helen With great sorrow we announce the death of Helen Eby on Monday, October 3, 2011. She was in her 94th year. Dearly beloved mother of Brian Eby and his wife Ina of Blenheim, ON, and Heather Bindseil and her husband Paul McKibben of Vancouver, BC. Loving grandmother to Kirstin Bindseil and great-grand-mother to Sage Bindseil-Hall of Toronto. Helen is survived by her sister Esther Trussler and brother-in-law Del Brunk all of Kitchener. There are four step-grandchildren. Nieces and Nephews include Judith Thomas, Kitchener, Sharon Trussler, Toronto and John Trussler, Beamsville. Predeceased by her loving husband Roy (1966), her parents Norman and Bertha Hoffman (nee Meyer), her sisters Marie Beam and Jean Brunk, and her brothers-in-law Walter Beam and Oliver (Sonny) Trussler, all of KW. Helen was a long time member of Emmanuel United Church in Waterloo and spent countless hours knitting mittens, hats and scarves that she selflessly donated to the Salvation Army and the Coats For Kids Program. Helen Eby will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched. We knew her as Mom, and Helen, but she was widely known as "Mrs. Eby" by all the friends she acquired from working as a receptionist for Dr. D. Kenneth Mullins D.C., and living at the corner of Pine and Herbert Street for 50 years. The Eby family will receive friends at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W. on Tuesday, October 18, 2011, from 10 a.m. A Funeral Service to celebrate the life of Helen Eby will be in the Funeral Home Chapel, 621 King St., Kitchener at 11 a.m on Tuesday, October 18, 2011, with Reverend Bruce Sweet of Emmanuel United Church officiating. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Waterloo. A reception will follow. The family would like to express thanks to the staff at AR Goudie Eventide Home for their generous kindness and care. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Salvation Army or Coats For Kids would be greatly appreciated. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting www.ratzbechtelfuneralhome.com
